How CVHound.com Works
The complete guide to hiring planners directly
1
Register Your Employer Account
- •Complete the employer registration form with your company legal name, registration number, VAT number, and contact details.
- •Select your business type. Note: CVHound.com is available to direct employers only — recruitment agencies are prohibited.
- •Review and accept our Terms of Service, including the placement fee structure and non-circumvention clause.
- •Pay the annual subscription fee of £2,999 via Stripe. Your payment is secured and processed immediately.
- •Your account is activated as soon as your payment clears. You receive a verification email — click the link to confirm your address and sign in.
2
Search the Candidate Database
- •Use the AI-powered search on your employer dashboard to search by job title, skills, location, availability, and work preferences.
- •View candidate profiles. First name, job title, city, skills, work history titles, and AI summary are always visible.
- •Personal contact details (surname, email, phone, company names in work history) are protected and only revealed when the candidate accepts your interview request.
- •Every time you view a candidate profile, a timestamped record is created against your account for legal non-circumvention purposes.
3
Build Your Shortlists
- •Add candidates to named shortlist folders from within search results or their profile page.
- •You can have multiple folders — for example, one per role or department.
- •Shortlists are private to your employer account.
4
Send Interview Invitations
- •Select a shortlist folder and click "Request Interviews".
- •Provide the role title, role description, location, minimum salary, and maximum salary.
- •Minimum salary cannot be below £50,000. Maximum salary must be at least £10,000 above the minimum.
- •The salary range is shown to candidates before they accept or decline.
- •CVHound.com sends a personalised email to each candidate with the role details and two response options: interested or not interested.
- •A reminder email is sent automatically at 48 hours if a candidate has not responded.
- •The flat 7% placement fee is shown before you confirm.
5
Connect and Arrange the Interview
- •When a candidate accepts, you are notified by email and a private message thread opens between you in the Messages tab of your dashboard.
- •Their details unlock at that moment: full name, email, phone, and the company names in their work history.
- •Agree the date, time and format directly with the candidate in the thread. CVHound.com does not sit in the middle of your calendar.
- •Messaging opens only once the candidate has accepted — neither side can message before that.
6
Record the Interview Outcome
- •Ten days after the candidate accepted, CVHound.com sends you an email asking for the outcome.
- •Four options: Moving Forward — Second Interview, Moving Forward — Making an Offer, Not Suitable This Time, Candidate Did Not Attend.
- •If "Second Interview": both parties contact details are shared so you can arrange directly. CVHound.com follows up in 14 days.
- •If "Not Suitable" or "Did Not Attend": a sanitised message is sent to the candidate. No placement fee is charged.
7
Confirm the Hire and Pay the Placement Fee
- •If "Making an Offer": enter the confirmed salary offer. CVHound.com shows the calculated placement fee.
- •On confirmation, a PDF placement invoice is generated and emailed to you. A copy is sent to info@cvhound.com.
- •The invoice includes your company details, candidate reference, role, start date, salary, fee percentage, and total due.
- •Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
- •If you do not confirm the start, a pro-forma notice is sent at 7 days and a payable invoice is raised at 14.
- •At 90 days after the start date, CVHound.com sends you a 3-month guarantee check-in email.
